1:32 AM
Tell me what worth more- a skinny figure or a healthy body with no diseases? I’m sure you’ll get your answers after this context. Today we’ll learn about a disease which is more of an eating disorder. We may call it by the name 'Anorexia Nervosa'.

What is anorexia nervosa?
Anorexia nervosa is a type of eating disorder. Tell me do you have an intense fear of gaining weight? Do you eat less because you think you might get fatty? If so then you might have anorexia nervosa. People having an extreme fear of gaining weight are subconsciously a patient of anorexia nervosa. They severely limit the amount of food they eat and can become dangerously thin.

Anorexia: The Body Neglected
A person having anorexia nervosa doesn’t care about his/her body, causing a severe impact on their body. You’ll get surprised hearing that it has the highest death rate og 5% to 20% of any other mental illness. 5 to 20 people in 100 dies of this disease.

What anorexia nervosa can do to human body?
Firstly it victimizes the bones. This disease actually develops in childhood and sustain them through adulthood just because of their carelessness and often their adolescence.
But the most life-threatening damage it does is it wreaks the heart weak. Losing body or muscle mass, hearts muscle also gets shrunk -- so the heart gets smaller and weaker. The cardiac impacts are severe and fairly large and they kick in quickly.
Anorexia has its impact both on body and mind. It usually starts as dieting, but gets out of your hand before you know it.  The ideas of food, dieting, and weight reverberates in your head all the time. You may have an ill-shape image of your body. So when people say you a skinny, but in the mirror, you see a fat person. Like the movie “Requiem for a dream”.
Anorexia usually starts in the teen years. It's more common in females than males. If it’s treated early it can be effective but in most of the case people don’t even know that they have this diseases. But if not treated early, anorexia can become a lifelong problem. Untreated anorexia can lead to famishment and some serious health problems like osteoporosis or bone thinning, kidney failure, and heart attacks.
So, you probably have your answer. If you think you have this problem or someone you know who has it get proper medical treatment and make it soon. A person having anorexia nervosa can be treated well and he/she can live a healthy life with a bit of mass in their body.
